Whakatane Man’s Mother Among Tornado Victims

Mrs Mary Dillicar, aged 85, of Lake Road, Frankton, who was found dead in the debris of her home after Wednesday’s tornado hit it, was the mother of Mr E. R. Dillicar, of Whakatane. His many friends here will feel deep sympathy for him. Members of the St John Ambulance Association, of which Mr Dillicar has been the secretary for the past five years, observed a two-miriute silence at their annual meeting on Wednesday night to express their condolence.
