Old County Road Not Contributory Cause Of Slips

M. Clark, investigated and came to the conclusion there was nothing in the theory. At Monday’s meeting of the Council, Cr D. C. Butler, works committee chairman, explained that Mr Bushett had felt that the old road might have helped to cause the slip, but the fact that other slips had happened on the same face where there was no road had satisfied the works committee that the road had not affected the position at all.
