Opotiki A’s defeated the Rangitaiki A team at Opotiki on Saturday in a game that was even in play and score until the last few minutes, when Opotiki built the score from 11 all to . 21—11. Teams: — Opotiki: Stain'ton, J. Koopu, C. Walker, J. Oswald, T. Koopu, I.' Parkinson, T. Walker, Tamatui, Lihgman, W. Delamere, Hughes, Pohipi, Gage, T. Delamere, Howe. Rangitaiki: Hunia, Mexted, T. Smith, Newdick, J. Marks, K. Sul-' livan, Ihaia, R. Falwasser, E. Mulligan, L. Hall, K. Woods, W. And-' erson, I. Dodunski, A. i** i Opotiki opened with fast play in - all departments, but Rangitaiki held them off well. Newdick, Sullivan, Falwasser and Black playing a sound defending game. Play later settled into a slogging match, with neither side getting a real advantage and holding it.
