ui uiiuc iiuu vu.y Ngauruhoe was active all day on Sunday and huge columns of ashladen steam rose to great heights and drifted to the north-west. The northern slopes of the volcano were blackened. The view of the mountain at sunrise at Taupo was magnificent.
