Whakatane, or Phone 17ft. 264 WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF WATER SUPPLY LOAN 1948, OF £25,000 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Whakatane Borough - Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 9th day of August, 1948 at 7.30 p.m., to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction pursuant to the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926; The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933 and its amendments, and The Public Works Act, 1928 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, to the borrowing of the sum of £25,000 for the following purpose: Construction of a reservoir, in- , take and low lift pumping sta- , tion, flocculation plant, pur- • chase and installation of rising main, pipes, motors, pumps (including spares), and general equipment. Engineering fees, purchase of land and contingencies. That the term of the proposed loan shall be for a period of 30 years. That the security for the proposed loan shall be a special rate of 2.75 d of the. rateable value (on the basis of the Unimproved* value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane. That the cost of raising" the loan shall be paid but of the loan.
