Maori Dairy Director
An alteration to the articles of ■ the Tauranga Go-operative Dairy Association, providing for the appointment of a Maori : director, was made at the annual meeting of shareholders of the association. Explaining the reason for the alteration; the chairman of directors (Mr I F. B. Hartstone) stated that there were 120 Maoris supplying the factory and they had asked for representation on the board. The scheme provides for making provision for a Maori director by increasing the : number of directors from seven to -«ight.
