Fifth Hunt By Rangitaiki Ward Opotiki Hunt Club At Opouriao on Saturday
Under ideal conditions the Rangitaiki Ward of the Opotiki Hunt Club held the fifth meeting for this season at Opouriao on Saturday. Owing to the recent spell of fine weather, the going was 'fairly fast, although in some of the lowUying areas in the vicinity of the river it was holding. The ten and a halfcouples of hounds worked well as a pack, and a number of exciting runs respited. Morning and afternoon tea was served at the residence of Mr E. Hill, on whose property the hounds cast off at about 11.30 a.m. There were a total of 63 horses representing Whakatane .surrounding districts and Opotiki. Among riders were:— T. Eggleton, A. Reeve, H. Hill, G. Hill, E. Moody, R. G. Hickpenny, S. Williams, B. Sullivan, W. Goldsmith, L. Goldsmith, T. Fabish, W. Lyons, B. McMillan, F. Lyons, S. Eivers, P. Revell, P. Moko, J.
