Recent Adjustments To N.Z. Postal Rates
Some adjustments have had to be made in the New Zealand postal rates to conform to the Universal Postal Union Convention of Paris, which came into force on July 1. The adjustments ar.e all to do with weights. The new rates are: Letter cards and letters, inland and overseas to British countries 2d for the first ounce/and Id for- each additionalounce. Foreign countries including Egypt, Palestine, Transjordan, Iraq and Burma, 3d for the first ounce and l|d for the additional ounces. Commercial papers overseas, 3d for the first 10 ounces and a id for each additional 2ozs. Printed papers overseas, 3d for the first 2ozs and id for the additional 2ozs. Overseas packets (samples only) Id for the first 2ozs and a id for the additional 2ozs. Small packets for only certain overseas countries Id for each 2ozs with a minimum of sixpence.
