A very fine display of stamps struck as a commemoration to the number of countries discovered by Christopher Columbus was shown at th‘e annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Philatelic Society held in Whakatane on Tuesday night. The display was loaned to the Whakatane Society by the Royal New Zealand Philatelic -Society in Wellington and is a history of Columbus in stamps. The collection was made by a Mr G. A.
