Halt In Wool Publicity In Czechoslovakia
Plans made by the International Wool Secretariat, of which New Zealand is a member, to further the interests of the wool industry in Czechoslovakia have come to a standstill, according to news received from London by the New Zealand Wool Board. Dr. H. Edgar Booth, the chairman of the 1.W.5., last year visited Czechoslovakia, and a delegation of wool and textile interests from that country later went to Britain. As a result of the discussions that took place the Czechoslovakian wool industry set up a Consultative. Committee, similar to that operating in other European countries, to do in Czechoslovakia the work done by the I.W.S. in the English-speaking countries. Dr. Booth was to have visited Czechoslovakia again recently to attend the inaugural meeting of the committee, but at the request of its members his visit has now been postponed “for several months.”
