Otakiri Completes Corso Appeal For China

The June meeting of the Otakiri Women’s Institute was held at the Otakiri' Hail recently.. The Corso appeal was finalised and the Institute, are new sending a spinning wheel to China. A Leper Baby fund is completed and each year the IES will be collected and sent forward. Mrs Peck gave ' Long Service Badges to two foundation members cf the Institute, Mrs W. Murray and Mrs Cobden. ..Competitions for the day were as foilows:— Decorated egg cup: Mrs Peck 1, Mr*- Cristall 2, Mrs Cobden 3. Nove’ty knitting: Mrs Peck 1, Mrs Cristall 2, Mrs Missen 3. Sage pudding: Mrs Missen 1, Mrs Cristall 2, Mrs Peck 3. Best vegetable: Mrs Winters 1, Mrs Peck 2, Mrs Cobden 3.
