Rangitaiki Defence Rifle Club Excels At Recent Association Championships
The annual Bay of Plenty Rifle Association Chapionship which includes the Moore Challenge Belt, was held on the Rangitaiki Rifle range on the King’s Birthday. The Rangitaiki Club was successful in winning both Aggregates, both “A” class and Junior, and the Teams Matcl^ The 300 yard match was won by Pat Newton of Rangitaiki. The 500 by C. Kiddie of Tauranga and the 600 by Harpham of Tauranga. Three Rangitaiki Club members tied for the Champion Belt and Grand Aggregate, L. Davies, C. Penny and S. Pearse. In the exciting shoot off Pearse won. L. Mikkelsen and Pat Newton were next in the Aggregate. The Junior Aggregate for under 21 years of age was won by Allan Moore, with Peter Mayo second, both of Rangitaiki. Champion ’Warns Match for Opotiki Star:— Rangitaiki jLnO. 1 1. Rangitaiki No. 22.
