A Baby Face
Margaret Barton, who won the critics’ praises for her brilliant portrayal of ‘Betty’ Robert Newton’s daughter in the Associated British picture “Temptation Harbour,” is providing a puzzle for the police. Now Margaret is 20 and will soon be 21, but does not look a day over 15, and has not done so for the past five years. One day, as she set off from her home for the studio in her new sports car, Margaret was stopped by the police . . . for driving under age. It seems that at a sneak preview of “Temptation Harbour” one woman was moved to shout at the ‘murderer’ (William Hartnell) as he stepped into the kitchen of Margaret’s home and menacingly confronted the shrieking .‘child’ . . . “Keep your hands off her!” BEF.
