Anglican Church Social

A social and dance was held by the parishioners of the Anglican Church in the Anglican Church Hall .last Thursday evening. Among the many items presented were a piano ;Solo by Miss N. West (who also played for the dances), a humorous monologue by Mrs L. McL. Cristall, a mime by Mrs K. Hanna, 'Mrs Sutcliffe and Mrs Cantrell, with a piano accompaniment by Mrs L. King, a short play acted by Misses M. Suckling, J.,... Slipper, Y. McNaughtori and M. Dines. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a radio commentary on a boxing match done by Messrs King and •Coates. A quiz was also conducted by Mr King. The evening closed with a delightful supper provided by the Women’s Committee.
