High School Rugby And Basketball Results
Whakatane District High School Rugby and basketball teams played matches against Opotiki yesterday at Opotiki with the following results:—
Senior Rugby: Opotiki 11 Whakatane 8.
Basketball: A, Whakatane 29 Opotiki 18; B, Opotiki 17 Whakatane 12. Matches -involving visiting teams from the Opotiki and Te Puke schools were played here.
Results:— Senior Rugby: Te Puke 23 Whakatane B 3.
B Lightweight Rugby: Whakatane 6 Te Puke 6; Te Puke 10 Opotiki 0; Whakatane 6 Opotiki 0. Final: Whakatane 8 Te Puke 0. Basketball: C, Whakatane 16 Opotiki 7; D, Whakatane 7 Opotiki's.
