Farewell To Popular Residents Of Thornton
A representative gathering of local organisations in the Thornton district, assembled' -at- the- Thornton hall recently to farewell Mr ..and Mrs D. Scott and family who have left for Pongakawa. Presentations were made on behalf of the local Scout and Cub units, the school committee and other district organisations. Mr D. Vickery on behalf of the Edgecumbe Scout troop also made a presentation. Mr Scott replied suitably for himself and family, thanking all. Occasion was also taken to farewell Mr and Mrs Brashier who have also left the district.
