Hospital Statistics For May: Births A Record

A record was established at the Whakatane Maternity Annexe last month with a total of 49 births, 20 females and 29 males. Patients in the hospital on May 1 totalled 95 and the number of admissions was 165 and discharges 163 during the month. Two patients died. Patients remaining at May 31,' totalled' 95.
