Constable A, Puttick, of Gisborne, is at present relieving at the Whakatane Police Station. He is replacing Constable W. T. McMath, who has resigned from the Police Force.

Miss Audsley Cullen, Red Cross diversional therapist, who has been instructing at the Whakatane district hospital, leaves on Friday to organise diversional therapy work at the Kaitaia hospital.

Mr J. L. Burnett, chairman of the Whakatane County Council, goes to Rotorua next week to attend the annual Counties Conference. He will take part in the executive meeting on Tuesday and conference sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
