Pongakawa Rabbit Board: Report On Conference

The chairman of the Pongakawa Rabbit Board at the monthly meeting held last week tabled a full report of the North Island Rabbit Boards Association conference held at Hamilton recently. He stated that the proposed alteration to the voting power of the Boards was defeated, as was the remit suggesting the abolition of the proxy voting.

The remits put forward by his Board had all been well received, excepting the one suggesting that there should be a Rabbit Inspectors’ Conference. Other matters discussed included the finance of the Association, North Island representation on Rabbit Destruction Council, Rabbit Control and Research into the most effective methods of destruction, pollard for making rabbit poison, ammunition, price of rabbit skins, Dog Registration Act, Borrowing powers' of Boards, accommodation for rabbiters, Information Bureau, administrative costs ‘ chargeable to the Crown and the Killer Policy.
