Coming-Of-Age Party
A small group of friends gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs A. W. Winstone, Whakatane, on Saturday night to celebrate the coming-of-age of Miss Romola Winstone. Professor H. H. Corbin proposed the usual toast to the guest of honour who replied suitably and proceeded to blow out all the candles in one puff. The party then adjourned to the King Street Hall, danced until 12 o’clock and then returned to- the celebrant’s home to 'continue the party until early in the morning.
