Plunket Society Meets

Mrs R. T. Morpeth presided at the monthly meeting of the Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society held recently. Plunket rooms in Whakatane hnd surrounding districts are all open again at the usual hours. The Rangitaiki Plunket Society sub-branch are Erecting temporary Plunket rooms to be used until a permanent building is erected in the new Edgecumbe township. The Mothercraft Training Centre in London which suffered severe bomb damage during the war, asked the branch for assistance in refurnishing. Funds for this purpose are needed. Mothers are helping, by giving a donation. Talks prepared by the A.C.E. of the Otago University are- being’ broadcast every Thursday at 10.45.
