Annual Meeting Of W.D. F.F.: Election Of Officers

The tenth annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Provincial Executive of Women’s Division of Federated Farmers (N.Z.) was held on Wednesday, May 5 in Whakatane. The president, Mrs Goodwin, opened the meeting with the reading of “The Creed.” Delegates and members from Murupara, Te Teko, Awakeri, Taneatua and Opotiki branches were present.

After the presentation of the reports from Mrs Goodwin, Mrs Hayward, housekeeping secretary and Mrs S. Cannell secretary, they were thanked. The election of officers resulted in Mrs Martin (Opotiki) president; Mrs S. Cannell, secretary; Mrs Barr, housekeeping secretary; Mrs A. Hill and Mrs Roberts, vice-presidents; committee, Mesdames Downs, Goodwin, McKenzie and Geedge; advisory committee, Mesdames Haultain and Hayward. The Dominion Conference of the body is to be held in Dunedin in July. Representative to conference is Mrs S. Cannell., It was decided that the meetings commence at 11.30 a.m. instead of 11 a.m.
