Keen Support Shown At Bay Of Plenty National Party Electorate Meeting

The annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Electorate of the New Zealand National Party was held in the Parish Hall, Whakatane, on Saturday. Over seventy delegates were present. Mr Don Butler was elected Electorate chairman, Mr Ken Welch of Rotorua was re-appointed Electorate secretary. /• ’

. The chairman’s report covered the work of the organisation during the .year. Membership generally was stronger, and delegates were very satisfied with the general position of the Party. Mr G. A. Walsh, Divisional Chairman was pr.esent and addressed the •delegates. Mr W. Sullivan, M.P., addressed those present on political matters, and made reference to the political situation as he saw it in' Australia.
