Mail From Palestine Lost
The Post Office states that information has been received from the Palestine Postal Administration to the effect that a small air mail despatched on April 23 from Jerusalem for Auckland and containing correspondence for addresses throughout New. Zealand has been lost.
Council’s Appreciation
On the motion of Cr L. W. Luxton, who represented the Whakatane County Council at the Anzac Day service at Whakatane on Sunday, the Council decided on Tuesday to send a letter to Mr L. H. Brown, president of the R.S.A., in appreciation of his able and spirited address.
