Otakiri Citizens Form U.M. Appeal Committee
A keen group of citizens met in the Otakiri Hall last Saturday to form a committee for the organisation of the United Nation’s Appeal for Children. It was decided that those present form a committee and I.lr W. J. Murray was appointed chairman and Mrs Cristall secretary. The collection is to take the form of a house to house appeal and the district was divided into separate beats.
Districts and collectors are: No. 1 Grieve’s Road, Mr W. J. Murray; No. 2 Otakiri Road, Mrs Armstrong; No. 3 Awaiti Road, Mrs Gilbert; No. 4 Soldiers Block, Mr Woodber.ry; No. 5 Hallett’s Road and Military Road, Mrs Cristall. Collectors are to call on or before May 15.
