A. Parsons, of the “Belford” Stud, has sold his farm and is going out of farming. It is not a big herd, but is full of quality and production. The star lot of the offering is Mountain Meadows Gay Sis, V.H.C., a wonderful opportunity to secure foundation cows. The Heifer Sale is the first to be held in this district and while the entries are not larges it will give purchasers an excellent opportunity to secure young, well bred cattle. Entries from the Smith Bros., Matapihi, of Lily Oak fame, show that the main sire is Lily Oak Handsome Prince. Mr L. E. Page, of the “AllWays” Stud, has also entered some very choice quality heifers with very good butterfat backing, and' should please the public very much as to type and quality. Further entries are from the “Lucernvale” Stud, of Mr E. B. Allen, the “Carleon” Stud, of Mr Edgar Hofmann, Katikati, and the “Calton” Stud, of King Country and Katikati fame, of Mr G. A. Rhynd.
