New Zealand Stand At Exhibition Shows London The Latest In Woollens
New Zealand has a direct interest in the “Daily Mail” Ideal Home Exhibition now attracting thousands of London people because of the International Wool Secretariat’s display of one of the Dominion’s principal money-earners—wool. In co-operation with leading British wool manufacturers, merchants and designers, the I.W.S. has prepared an attractive island stand to demonstrate the beauty and versatality of fabrics made of wool. News received from London by the New Zealand Wool Board indicates that the display is causing a lot of interest. Part of the stand is designed as a drawing-room to show various kinds of wool upholstery and furnishings, including curtains and chair coverings. Wilton carpeting, sheepskins and felt are used for the floors. On either side are displays showing the use of wool in fashion and for children’s wear.
