A recent visitor to relatives .at Walnut was Mr Barney Kirk, of 'Te Araroa. Mr Kirk was one of four brothers who saw service with the Maori Battalion in both Egypt and Italy. He returned to New Zealand with another brother Harold,'but Jack and Tom Were killed.
