Open Tournament Results The last open tournament of the season drew a full green of bowlers, and some good bowling was witnessed. However, a very keen green and a tricky wind proved a trap for old, as well as new, players. The winning team in A Section was that skipped by A. Mclsaac with 6-2- wins. B Section honours were shared by teams skipped by W. Harris and R. Murphy.
Semi-final: Harris defeated Murphy, Mclsaac, a bye. Final: Lawrence, H. Harrison, G. Head, W. Harris (s) 6, defeated E. Bullot, F. Cockerell, J. Thompson, A. Mclsaac (s) 1. A feature of semi-final and final was the fine leading by Lawrence, a visitor from St. Helliers, Auckland, and a magnificent saving shot by W. Harris in the semi-final, when his team was five down.
