Keen Interest Shown In Te Teko Club Shoot
Enthusiasts from Taneatua, Whakatane, Rotorua and Te Teko took part in the Te Teko Gun Club’s recent shoot. Apart from the competitors, there was a big gathering of onlookers. Results: — Eye Opener, 5 birds, 25 entries: W. Semmens, E. C. Haultain and S. Luttrell, equal, all scoring the possible. ■ Novice, 5 birds, for Mr W. Mayo’s medal: J. Johnson, 4 birds, 1. Trophy shoot, 8 birds: W. Park, I. Park scored the possible after shooting-off with W. Semmens, D. Macdonald, C. Eivers and W. Hume, all having ..collected 7 in the first shoot. Gimcrack, 6 birds: P. Mayo, R. Stephenson and W. Park, equal, 1, all with possibles. Duff Cup, 10 birds: W. Hume, 1. Hume tied with A. Mithcell, both scoring a possible, and Hume won,, the shoot-off at the 14th bird. Te Teko Handicap, 10 birds: S. Kerr and J. Jamieson, equal, 1, both possibles. ' Consolation, 5 birds: E. Le Lievre* J. Tebbutt, J. Hassett and W. Mayo, equal, 1, all possibles. Box Sweep, 5 birds: J. Tebbutt, possible, 1; L. George and S. Kerr, equal, 2.
