Te Teko Women’s Golf Club ; Expects Good Season

The Te Teko Women’s Golf Club held its annual general meeting in the Te Teko hall last week and from the number at the meeting the club expects a good season. The last year was successful from the players point, said the president, Mrs L. B. Smith, in her report, three making the A grade and three' achieving handicaps. Several cups were presented to the club last year from the defunct Mokoroa Club and also two cups presented by Mr C. L. Hudson and Mr W. Saunders, and the club is very grateful to the don T ors. A number of visits were made by outside clubs including Whakatane, Taneatua and Te Puke; the Te Teko club made return visits to some’ of these clubs. The club has decided that for, this year they will dispense’with the services of a ’ president- and leave those duties to the club captain, who is Mrs L. B. Smith. The remaining officers for the season are: Secretary, Mrs W. Balfour, and the committee, Mesdames Hutton, Burr, Thomas, Goodwin and Miss J. Murray.
