Otakiri Red Cross Branch Annual General Meeting
On March 17 the Otakiri Red Cross branch held its annual meeting in the Otakiri Hall. The reports showed that a creditable year’s work had been done, resulting in 200 mended second-hand clothes being sent to the district centre and 70 lovely babies and small childler’s garments being cut out and sewn. ■■
The branch held a social afternoon during the year which was a great success and it intends to hold another in the near future. A £5 donation has been made to the branch towards the Red Cross ‘Food for Britain’ fund. In the election of officers Mrs Jessup was elected president, and Miss J. Murray secretary.
