Aviation Pioneers’ Story To Be Filmed
In line with the policy of bringing to the screen the lives of great men, Warner Bros, have announced that the story of the Wright brothers, Wilbur and Orville, will be filmed as a major feature production. The dramatic story of the men who flew the first aeroplane was purchased 12 years before the death of Orville Wright in 1947. A special agreement with Orville Wright was made by Warner Bros., who promised that the picture would not be made until after his death. Wilbur Wright died in 1912 and his brother subsequently devoted his life to the development of flying.
The producer of the Wright brothers epic is to be Henry Blanke. Among historical films produced by Blanke for Warner Bros, have been.. “The Story of Louis Pasteur” and. “The Life of Emile Zola.”
