Whakatane Bowlers Win Trophies At Opotiki

At the Opotiki Bowling Club’s final tournament of the season held in the week-end a Whakatane team won all the trophies. The tournament was run in two sections, A section being won by Hunt of Taneatua and Griffiths of Opotiki Citizens, and B section was won outright by Henderson’s team of Whakatane. In the semi-final Griffiths defeated. Hunt, Henderson had a bye and in the final game. Henderson defeated Griffiths 12 to 4. The winning team was C. R. Coates, S. J. McKenzie, L. Littlejohn, and W. S. Henderson (skip):
