Restoring Korean Red Cross After Liberation
The Korean Red Cross, which was founded in 1905, became, under the occupation, a section of the Japanese Red Cross, and its activities were very restricted. Since the liberation of Korea in 1945, however, the people have with great enthusiasm and patriotism worked for the restoration' of their Red Cross with the help of the American Red Cross and the Military Government.
During the ceremonies which took place recently in Seoul the reorganisation of the Society was started with many women on the various committes, an innovation in the country. The Honorary President is Mr Kimm Kiusic, who is also President of the Legislative AssemblyA^
