Dear Sir,
Letters to the Editor must be . clearly written on one side of the paper only and where a nom-de-plume is used the name of the writer must be included for reference purposes. The Editor reserves the right to abridge, amend or withhold any letter or letters. Sir, —Just a short letter to thank “Ex-serviceman” who wrote the Building Controller stating I was building a motor garage. Apparently he does not know the difference between a fowlhouse and a motor shed. I have no desire to write letters to the press, and in fact, I am too busy attending to my own business, to be bothered with people with long tongues who employ backdoor methods. Therefore, any such individuals would find their business more prosperous by using front door methods, and should they develop any further “pains in the neck,” to come and interview the writer personally, who is capable of effecting a cure by straight from the shoulder methods. Yours etc., STAN EVANS, Builder, Whakatane.
