Council Considers Farmers' Petrol Ration Inadequate

Last week's meeting of the Whakatane County Council resolved to tell the Oil Fuel Controller that the 10 gallons basic petrol ration to farmers residing over 10 miles from their centre of population was hot working satisfactorily. It is to be pointed out that such an arrangement is unsatisfactory both for farmers at a greater distance than 10 miles and for those under 10 miles away.
