Domain Board, Eivers Beach Domain Board. 337 WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL held on Tuesday the 24th day of February, 1948 the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the 23rd day of March 1948 at 11 a.m. at the County Council Chambers, Whakatane. 1 RESOLUTION IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 122 of the Counties Act 1920 and Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act 1929, and with the consent of the ratepayers of that area in the Whakatane County known as the Edgecumbe Township Area, as testified by a Petition dated the Ist day of December 1947 and signed by a majority of the ratepayers in the said Area—the lands comprising such Area being fully shown on the plan annexed to the said Petition, a copy of which Plan is attached to the Minutes Of this meeting and shall form part of this Resolution — THE WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby resolves by way of SPECIAL ORDER to make and levy a Separate Rate of One shilling and Six pence (1/6) in the pound upon the Unimproved Value of all rateable property within the said Area and that such separate rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the period required in which to repay in full all monies advanced applied or expended by the Council in connection with the Township improvement works mentioned in the said Petition and thereafter until cancelled in accordance with the provisions of the said Petition and shall be payable on the 19th day of September in each year. AND NOTICE is further given that the said Petition with the said Plan annexed and the Minutes containing the said Resolution will be open to inspection by the Public at the County Office, the Strand, Whakatane, during ordinary office hours for a period of at least 21 days immediately preceding the said meeting to be held on the 23rd day of March 1948.
