"Miss South Africa" To Be Crowned Today
Forty-eight district finalists have been selected in South Africa from among thousands of entrants in the search for a beauty queen sponsored by the South African Wool Board and a South African illustrated paper. After election, as part of her prize of a world tour, Miss South Africa will visit Britain on her way to Hollywood for a film test. South Africa's Prime Minister, General Jan Smuts, is to crown "Miss South Africa" today. Attending the ceremony, as associate judges and guests of the South African Wool Board will be "Miss America", "Miss France" and Miss Audrey Smith of Birmingham, Miss England.
