Food For Britain Fund
Further donations to the Red Cross Food for Britain campaign have been received from the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce, £lB, and from the New Zealand Territorial Association, £2l 1, by the Eastern Bay of Plenty Red Cross. These donations bring the total for this district to well over the £2OO mark. All food that is bought by the Red Cross with this money is bought at cost price and is dispatched free to England. It is distributed there cou-pon-free and freight free. This is the second donation received from the Chamber of Commerce towards the campaign.
