Mr J. J. Becker, factory manager of the Rangitaiki Plains Dairy Company, is on his annual holidays. He is expected to return on Saturday.
Mr and Mrs M. King, Waimana, have left for a holiday to be spent in the Hawke’s Bay and Wellington districts.
Mr I. Ferriday, Land Utilisation Officer of the Department of Agriculture, who has been on a survey in the Whakatane district left today.
Mr J. L. Burnett, chairman of the Whakatane County Council, left yesterday for Wellington, where he will attend a meeting of the executive of the Counties’ Association.
Guests at the Fishing Lodge, Murupara, include: Mr and Mrs Hattersley (Auckland), Messrs. A. Byrne (Auckland), C. Aspden (Auckland), J. Trapski (Otorohanga), C. Peudreigen (Malaya).
