Although there appeared to be an association between outbreaks of infantile paralysis and climatic conditions, it was not variable and was not understood, said Professor H. J. Seddon in reply to a question at the Royal Institute of Public Health recently. In countries where show normally fell at some period during the year, the disease usually disappeared with the first fall, he added.
