Regatta Crews The local club is sending six crews to the Tauranga regatta on February 28, where it is hoped to gain some success. Following are the crews:— Juniors: L. Carey, F. Price, G. Dines, G. Moore. This crew should do well although their training has not been as goodas it should have been. Open Maidens, No. 1: G. Henry, K. Hollis, L. Stewart, T. Reid. These rowers have not been able to get together to any extent through holidays etc., but will give a fair account of themselves. No. 2: B. Fitzgerald, N. Goile, D. McCarthy, P. Bowering. . This is a very light crew, for its calss, but these lads are very keen and training hard. Lightweights: K. O’Rourke, A. Atkinson, J. Turpin, J. Hudson. These boys would have been really good if they had got their training in but will do their best in any case. Youths, No. 1: P. Armstrong, M. Nicol, W. Sandilands, S. Shapley. A hard training and very keen crew. We' do expect something from ■these boys. No. 2: R. Morpeth, K. Dines, M. Whittaker, M. Browne. A very young-crew but these lads are exceptionally- keen and fit and have put in more training than any other crew in the shed. The club wishes them the best of luck.
