L. Davies Top Scorer In Rangitaiki Rifle Club’s Final Practice Shoot

The Rangitaiki Club held the final practice shoot before commencing trophy shooting last Saturday. The weather was fine and the shooting showed an ■ improvement.. The conditions were seven shots at 500 and 600 yards. Davies made top score with Mcßae and Moore one and two points behind. Next shoot will be held on Saturday, March 6. Members will be wanting as much practice as possible before March 17, when the Bay of Plenty Champion Shield competition will be fired on the local range at Thornton. Details of Saturday’s scoring fellow:— L. Davies 34 at 500yds, 33 at 600 yds, a total .of 67; E. Mcßae 32, 34, 66; A. Moore 33, 32, 65; W. Moore 32, 31, 63; G. Pearse 29, 33, 62; L. Mikkelsen 30, 32, 62; P. Newton 30, 32, 62; R. Burgess 30, 29, 59; V. Green 30, 29, 59; B. Reichardt 30, 29, 59; F. Reichardt 29, 28, 57; H. Conn 24, 25, 49.
