R. Dawson’s Success At Waikato Athletic Champs.

Whakatane and especially Te Teko residents* will be glad to know that Ray Dawson was runner-up in both the quarter and half-mile at the recent Waikato Championships held' at Hamilton. In the half-mile he was beaten by only five yards by the crack Auckland runner, M. Marshall-. Dawson’s time of ; 1 minute 58 1-5 seconds should entitle him to a run at the New Zealand Championships.
