Unlicensed Camping Grounds
It was stated by the health inspector at the Raglan County Council meeting that there was no licensed camping ground at Whale Bay, near Raglan, but during the holiday season one land-owner allowed 16 camping parties to establish themselves for more or less lengthy periods, in spite of the absence of sanitary provision. In two or three other places along the coastline there were smaller numbers of tents erected and occupied. Court proceedings were to be instituted.
