Minister’s Inspection Of Kaingaroa Forest Scheme

The new State Forest Service sawmill at Kaingaroa was inspected on Sunday by the Commissioner of State Forests, Mr Skinner, who is making a brief visit to the district on his way from Auckland to Wellington. By cutting the first log on Monday, the Minister was to have opened a new sawmill at Te Whaiti which is being started by a group of ex-servicemen.
