Minister’s Inspection Of Kaingaroa Forest Scheme
The new State Forest Service sawmill at Kaingaroa was inspected on Sunday by the Commissioner of State Forests, Mr Skinner, who is making a brief visit to the district on his way from Auckland to Wellington. By cutting the first log on Monday, the Minister was to have opened a new sawmill at Te Whaiti which is being started by a group of ex-servicemen. However, mechanical .delays made it impossible, 45ifl#]\#.'Sk , E»ne^'st'Hi visited the mill. On his way to Te Whaiti, the Minister met State Forest Service officers at Murupara and then went on to Wellington through Waikaremoana and Napier.
