P. & T. Rovers Beaten At Waimana By Innings And Thirty-Three Runs
At Waimana on Sunday P. & T. Rovers took a thorough - beating from a Waimana team, chief strength of which lay in the deadly bowling of J. Ruff, who took five wickets for 8 runs in the first innings, and 5 for 13 in the second. In Rovers’ first strike, Ruff shared bowling honours with F. Mitchell, who took the other 5 wickets for 28. G. Mitchell, with 30 on the board when he was caught by Martin off Thomas, proved Waimana’s best batsman on the day, with J. Ruff and H. Ruff, 27 and .22, next in order, A.
