Beacon Provides Material For Novelty Quiz
The Beacon is to be the means of supplying all the questions to be asked at the Captain’s Cabin on Monday night. The prize will be a minimum of one guinea but, if the Quiz on Saturday night results in a “Jack-pot” then, of course, it will be three guineas. Whilst on the surface it would appear to make the questions easy, we understand that, as usual, when they are announced, some surprises are forthcoming. Although it should be unnecessary to state, this is our usual issue and no alterations have been made in any way. One obvious condition will be that no copies of the paper may be in sight during the Quiz and the winners will be required to sign a statement that they have received no assistance from the paper during the session. The Beacon joins in wishing competitors every success.
