Whakatane Carpenters Not On “Go-Slow” Policy
Whakatane carpenters and joiners are not involved in the “go-slow” policy which has been adopted at Auckland and certain other centres where the workers’ demand for 3s B*>d per hour has not been met, and wffiere disputes have arisen over fares and travelling expenses. In reply to a telephone inquiry yesterday the local secretary of the Union, Mr N. Carr, said, “I have had no instructions to that effect.” He added that no meeting had been called here yet.
